An educational visit was organized by the Department of Swasthavritta evum Yoga, RKU Ayurvedic college and hospital to Water Treatment Plant Raiyadhar and Sewage Treatment Plant, Madhapar under Rajkot Municipal Corporation on September 3rd ,2025. The primary objective of this visit was to provide practical exposure on steps involved in water purification, Sewage treatment and its significance in Community Medicine.

A chemist explained in detail regarding the importance of chlorination, zero liquid waste, sewage lagoon, importance of aerobic -anaerobic digestion involved in the purification procedure Biochemical Oxygen demand, suspended solids in drinking water qualities & water & soil borne illness.

Students of 2nd Professional BAMS gained valuable knowledge about the importance of management of waste water, sewage as well as the importance of ideal and safe drinking water.

The visit was led by Dr Divya R, Associate Professor and Dr Nimmi A N, Assistant Professor from Swasthavritta evum Yoga Department. We are thankful to our Director, Dr. Manoj Pande for his guidance in smooth conduction of Educational visit to Rajkot Municipal Corporation STP plant and Water Treatment Plant.
